This is the first autobiography I have read in 2014 and I would say that I made the right decision in doing so. This book is about the story of a great man who served in US military as a Navy SEAL. Chris Kyle is worthy of admiration for his ideals and love for his country. A very talented SEAL, he managed to become the most lethal sniper in US history with the highest number of confirmed kills in combat. For me what made him great is not because of his ability to get accurate and precise shots. He is great because of his perseverance as well as his love for his country and also for his family. I also admire the way he organize his priorities. When he was still enlisted he made it clear not just in words but in action his willingness to sacrifice and serve his country. After that, he focused on being the best father and husband for his family. Moreover, he did not put himself in good perspective all the time since he also mentioned his weaknesses as a person

The story of Chris Kyle is not entirely his. His story is also the reflection of the stories of the hundreds of US military personnel who are fighting for the cause of America and of those who already retired. They dedicate themselves by putting their lives on the line of active duty. It saddened me to realize that many of the US veterans were not being treated well. They deserve better treatment.

There is an upcoming movie based on this book which will be released on Christmas day of 2014. It is just sad that Chris is no longer with us in this world to see it. Watch the trailer of the movie below.
